By Deepak Sharma, BootcampGuide. ACCA's fees were read off its India price list and exam calendar on 3 November 2026, and every coaching fee off the institute's own course page the same day. Rupee amounts use the RBI reference rate of ₹127.1490 to the pound for 2 November 2026. We list ACCA courses from several of these institutes; none of them paid to appear in this article or saw it before it was published. See sources.

ACCA course fees in India add up to about ₹2.7 lakh to ₹3.5 lakh paid to ACCA and exam centres, plus ₹65,000 to ₹3.3 lakh for coaching, depending on how many papers you are exempt from. ACCA charges in pounds: a £30 registration fee (₹3,814), a £140 annual subscription (₹17,801), and £151 to £268 per exam (₹19,199 to ₹34,076) if you enter by the standard deadline. A 12th pass student taking all 13 papers pays about ₹5.2 lakh to ₹6.8 lakh in all; a qualified CA, exempt from nine papers, pays about ₹3.4 lakh to ₹3.9 lakh.

Two things change the numbers this season, and fee guides rarely mention either. The December 2026 standard entry deadline closed on 2 November, so an exam entered now costs the late fee of £387 or £430. And ACCA has announced a redesigned qualification for 2027: June 2027 is the last sitting of today's Applied Skills and Strategic Professional exams, and ACCA has not yet published fees for what replaces them.

Key takeaway: Exemptions save you time far more than money. A qualified CA who is granted nine exemptions still pays £918 (₹1,16,723) in exemption fees and about ₹2.74 lakh to ACCA in all, only ₹78,000 less than a 12th pass student who sits all 13 papers.

ACCA fee structure in India at a glance

Every fee ACCA itself charges an Indian student, from its India price list. The rupee column is our conversion; ACCA bills in pounds, so what you pay moves with the exchange rate and your card's foreign currency charges.

Exam prices are ACCA's December 2026 prices, the latest it has published. ACCA shows a regular price struck through next to the price India pays for registration and exemptions; the lower figure is the one you are charged.

What changes the fee in 2026 and 2027

Standard and late entry: the deadline that doubles the fee

ACCA has two entry windows per exam session, standard and late. There is no early entry discount, whatever older fee guides say. Entering late raises an Applied Skills exam from £151 to £387, so the same paper costs ₹30,007 more, and a Strategic Professional exam from £191 to £430 (₹30,389 more) or, for SBL, from £268 to £430 (₹20,598 more).

All deadlines are at 23:59 UK time, which is 5:29 am the next day in India while the UK is on GMT. Exams run four times a year, in March, June, September and December, but in March and September only the Applied Skills and Strategic Professional exams run, and in limited variants. Applied Knowledge exams are on-demand at a CBE centre whenever it has a slot. March 2027 prices were not yet on ACCA's list on 3 November 2026.

The 2027 qualification, and why it matters before you pay for coaching

ACCA is replacing the current 13-exam structure. According to its transition timeline, June 2027 is the final sitting of the Applied Skills and Strategic Professional exams, after which students move across to the new qualification. Foundations and Knowledge exams under the new structure open on-demand from July 2027, and the new Expertise and Strategic Professional exams start with the September 2027 session.

The redesigned qualification has three levels, Knowledge (K1 to K3), Expertise (E1 to E5) and Strategic Professional (two core exams and one option instead of today's two), plus a Foundations route for students who do not meet the entry requirements. Papers you pass now carry across: FA becomes K1, MA becomes K2, LW becomes K3, TX, FR, AA, FM and PM become E1 to E5, and SBR and SBL become the two core exams. The Applied Knowledge exams have to be finished by mid-July 2027 to complete that level under today's rules.

Two costs are still unknown. ACCA had published no exam fees for the new qualification on 3 November 2026, and it says the new Essential Employability Modules, one per level, will be chargeable at a price to be confirmed in January 2027. ACCA also says it will keep recognising prior learning through exemptions.

What that means for your budget: the totals in this article are at today's prices on today's structure. A qualified CA with four papers left could finish them by June 2027. A 12th pass student starting now will finish under the new qualification, at prices nobody can quote yet. Ask any institute how its fee covers the switch before you pay for all three levels upfront.

ACCA registration fee in Indian rupees

The one-time registration fee is £30, about ₹3,814. ACCA shows its regular price of £89 struck through next to it, so a fee guide quoting £89 (₹11,316) is using the wrong figure for India. The £89 does still apply to re-registration: students removed from the register for unpaid fees pay £89 plus whatever they owed to be reinstated.

Some coaching institutes reduce even this. The WallStreet School's ACCA page says that, as an ACCA Gold Learning Partner, it offers free ACCA registration. Fintelligents lists a 50% discount on ACCA registration, on exemption fees and on the first year's subscription. PSP Educate India lists registration fee waivers, and VG Learning Destination says Class 11 and 12 students who start with it get free ACCA registration. These are the institutes' offers, not ACCA's, so get the exact waiver in writing before you enrol.

ACCA annual subscription fee

The student subscription for 2026 is £140, about ₹17,801 a year. ACCA sends the invoice every November, and it is due on or before 1 January, even in a year when you do not plan to sit any exam. Students who stop paying are removed from the register and pay the £89 re-registration fee to come back.

Because the subscription runs every year, a slow pace costs money: each extra year adds about ₹17,800. Once you finish the exams, the subscription changes to the affiliate rate of £163 (₹20,725) a year, and full membership after the experience requirement costs £163 to join and £326 (₹41,451) a year.

ACCA exam fees per paper

ACCA's exam fees depend on the level of the paper, and in India one level is not priced by ACCA at all.

Applied Knowledge exam fees (BT, MA, FA)

Business and Technology, Management Accounting and Financial Accounting are computer-based exams taken on demand. ACCA's price list says their fees are "set by the centres themselves" where you sit them at a CBE centre, and India is not among the countries on ACCA's remote on-demand fee list. So the fee depends on the centre. One published example: QuintEdge's Mumbai centre charges ₹18,880 per Applied Knowledge exam and ₹24,780 for Corporate and Business Law (LW), both including 18% GST. Ask your centre for its price before you book.

Applied Skills exam fees (LW, PM, TX, FR, AA, FM)

Performance Management, Taxation, Financial Reporting, Audit and Assurance and Financial Management cost £151 (₹19,199) each at standard entry and £387 (₹49,207) at late entry. All five together come to £755, about ₹96,000. Corporate and Business Law is priced by ACCA only in markets where a local variant is a sessional exam; in India it is booked as an on-demand exam at a CBE centre, like the Applied Knowledge papers.

Strategic Professional exam fees (SBL, SBR and two options)

ExamStandard entryLate entry
Strategic Business Leader (SBL)£268 (₹34,076)£430 (₹54,674)
Strategic Business Reporting (SBR)£191 (₹24,285)£430 (₹54,674)
Each option: AFM, APM, ATX or AAA£191 (₹24,285)£430 (₹54,674)
All four papers£841 (₹1,06,932)£1,720 (₹2,18,696)

Before the Strategic Professional exams you also complete the Ethics and Professional Skills Module, a one-time £83 (₹10,553). It is meant to be started after the Applied Knowledge exams.

If you start on the Foundations in Accountancy (FIA) route

Students who do not meet ACCA's entry marks can begin with the Foundations in Accountancy awards. Registration is the same £30 and the subscription the same £140. The Certified Accounting Technician exams FTX, FFM and FAU cost £114 (₹14,495) at standard entry and £350 (₹44,502) late, and the CAT certificate costs £80 (₹10,172). Exemptions from FA1, FA2, MA1 and MA2 are free. ACCA is withdrawing the current FIA qualifications as the 2027 qualification arrives: FAU, FTX and FFM must be passed in or before the June 2027 session, and the new Foundations route takes their place.

ACCA exemption fees, and how many you might get

ACCA charges for each exemption it awards: £84 (₹10,681) per Applied Knowledge paper and £111 (₹14,114) per Applied Skills paper. It awards a maximum of nine exemptions, all from the Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills levels, and none from Strategic Professional, so everyone sits at least SBL, SBR and two options. Exemption fees are due within 30 days of the award; to cancel for a refund you must tell ACCA within 14 days.

How many exemptions your degree earns is decided by ACCA, through its exemptions calculator, not by any institute. The institutes' own pages disagree, which is a good reason to run the calculator yourself:

Your qualificationExemptions institutes quoteExemption fees if granted
12th pass, meeting ACCA's marksNone₹0
BMS or BBA1 (BT), per J.K. Shah Classes£84 (₹10,681)
BBA (Accounts and Finance), BBM or MBA3 (BT, MA, FA), per J.K. Shah Classes£252 (₹32,042)
B.ComUp to 4, per VG Learning DestinationUp to £363 (₹46,155) for BT, MA, FA and LW
CA Intermediate (IPCC)"Up to 9 (5 on the basis of IPCC + others)", per VG Learning Destination£474 (₹60,269) for five; up to £918 for nine
Qualified CAUp to 9, per The WallStreet School and VG Learning Destination£918 (₹1,16,723)

Fees for B.Com and CA Intermediate assume which papers are exempted, since that depends on ACCA's assessment. The five-paper CA Intermediate figure assumes BT, MA, FA, LW and TX.

An exemption is still usually worth taking. It costs less than the exam it replaces (£111 against £151 for an Applied Skills paper, and £84 against a centre fee such as ₹18,880 for Applied Knowledge), and it skips the coaching and the months of study. That is where the real saving lies.

ACCA coaching fees in India: 10 institutes compared

Coaching is the part of the cost you choose, and it varies more than everything ACCA charges put together. These are the published fees on each institute's own ACCA page on 3 November 2026. You can compare the ACCA courses we list side by side, with mode, city and batch dates.

What the table shows:

  • A full live programme costs ₹2.4 lakh to ₹3.3 lakh at QuintEdge, Fintelligents, The WallStreet School and FPA Edutech. Recorded or self-paced versions of the same programmes cost ₹1.66 lakh to ₹1.7 lakh.
  • Per-paper coaching is the cheapest way in. WeGyde's ₹5,999 plan works out to about ₹7,079 a paper with GST, and QuintEdge sells single papers at ₹16,000 to ₹22,000. That suits students who want help only with the hard papers.
  • Applied Knowledge coaching is cheap; the later levels are not. Fintelligents charges ₹30,000 for all three Knowledge papers and ₹1,20,000 for each of the next two levels.
  • "GST not stated" can mean 18% more. On FPA's ₹3,30,000 that would be ₹59,400. Ask whether the quoted fee includes GST.

ACCA course fees in Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and other cities

None of these institutes publishes a different fee per city except IMS Proschool, whose range of ₹80,000 to ₹2.5 lakh depends partly on location. QuintEdge charges the same for live online and for its Delhi and Mumbai classrooms, and The WallStreet School says its live online batches cost the same as its Delhi and Mumbai classes. In practice, the city decides which institutes you can attend in person, not the price: Mumbai has QuintEdge, The WallStreet School, FPA Edutech and IMS Proschool; Delhi has QuintEdge, The WallStreet School and IMS Proschool; Ahmedabad has FPA Edutech, PSP Educate India and IMS Proschool. Everyone else, in Kerala, Kolkata or a smaller city, can take any of the live online options at the same fee.

Total cost of ACCA in India: three worked examples

The examples below add up every fee at today's prices and standard entry, with one attempt at each exam. Applied Knowledge and LW use the ₹18,880 and ₹24,780 centre fees quoted above. Coaching uses the lowest and highest full-course fees published in the table: recorded or self-paced at the low end and FPA Edutech's classroom fees at the high end.

Total₹5.18 lakh to ₹6.82 lakh₹4.37 lakh to ₹5.61 lakh₹3.39 lakh to ₹3.94 lakh

Three things push the real figure up from here:

  • Resits. Pass rates for the Applied Skills and Strategic Professional exams sat in September 2026 ran from 41% to 54%, so plan for a resit or two. Each resit costs the full exam fee again: £151 (₹19,199) for an Applied Skills paper or £191 to £268 for a Strategic Professional one.
  • Late entry. One late entry adds ₹20,598 to ₹30,389, more than the subscription for a year.
  • Extra years. Each year beyond the plan adds about ₹17,801 in subscription. The 12th pass route also runs into the 2027 changes, priced at fees ACCA has not set yet.

Is ACCA more costly than CA?

Yes, on fees paid to the professional body. ICAI's FAQ puts CA registration at ₹9,000 for the Foundation course, ₹18,000 for both groups of the Intermediate course and ₹22,000 for both groups of the Final course, which is ₹49,000 for all three, with exam fees on top for each attempt. ACCA's own fees for a student sitting all its exams come to about ₹3.5 lakh, mostly because each ACCA exam is priced in pounds.

The two lead to different jobs, so cost is not the whole comparison. Under section 141 of the Companies Act, 2013, only chartered accountants in practice (ICAI members) or their firms can be appointed auditor of an Indian company, so ACCA does not qualify you to sign statutory audits in India. ACCA is built around IFRS and is recognised abroad, which suits roles with multinationals, shared-services centres and the Big Four's international teams. On PayScale's self-reported data, ACCA holders in India earn an average base salary of ₹7.01 lakh (173 profiles, updated 18 May 2026) and CAs ₹10 lakh (1,765 profiles, updated 10 July 2026). Employer averages on PayScale's ACCA page range from ₹6.2 lakh at KPMG to ₹12 lakh at J.P. Morgan.

Many students do both: a qualified CA's nine exemptions turn ACCA into four papers and about ₹3.4 lakh to ₹3.9 lakh in total.

ACCA pass rates, and what a failed paper costs

ACCA published these pass rates for the September 2026 session, when 102,263 students entered and 114,239 exams were completed:

PaperPass rateCost to resit at standard entry
Taxation (TX)54%£151 (₹19,199)
Strategic Business Leader (SBL)53%£268 (₹34,076)
Advanced Taxation (ATX)53%£191 (₹24,285)
Strategic Business Reporting (SBR)50%£191 (₹24,285)
Financial Reporting (FR)49%£151 (₹19,199)
Financial Management (FM)47%£151 (₹19,199)
Advanced Financial Management (AFM)47%£191 (₹24,285)
Audit and Assurance (AA)45%£151 (₹19,199)
Performance Management (PM)42%£151 (₹19,199)
Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA)42%£191 (₹24,285)
Advanced Performance Management (APM)41%£191 (₹24,285)

ACCA's announcement did not give rates for the on-demand Applied Knowledge exams or LW. Roughly half of candidates fail each of the later papers, so budget for one or two resits. Among the four options, APM and AAA had the lowest pass rates this session, at 41% and 42%.

How to pay less for ACCA

  1. Enter every exam by the standard deadline. For March 2027 that is 1 February 2027. It is the biggest saving you control: up to ₹30,389 a paper.
  2. Claim every exemption you are entitled to. Run ACCA's exemptions calculator with your exact degree before you register. An exemption fee is lower than the exam it replaces, and you skip the coaching for that paper too.
  3. Ask about learning-partner discounts. Some institutes pass on ACCA fee discounts: free registration at The WallStreet School, and 50% off registration, exemptions and the first subscription at Fintelligents. Take the offer in writing.
  4. Buy coaching level by level, or paper by paper. Paying for all 13 papers upfront commits you to a programme that the 2027 change may overtake. Per-level and per-paper prices let you stop or switch.
  5. Choose recorded or self-paced where you can. The same programme costs ₹1.66 lakh to ₹1.7 lakh recorded and ₹2.4 lakh to ₹2.75 lakh live.
  6. Pay ACCA with a card that has low foreign currency charges. ACCA bills in pounds, so your bank's conversion rate and markup are added to every fee.

ACCA fee figures you will see elsewhere that are out of date

Checking the pages that rank for ACCA fees against ACCA's own price list on 3 November 2026 turned up the same errors repeatedly:

  • "Early entry discounts." ACCA's price list and exam calendar have only standard and late entry.
  • Registration of £89 and exemptions of £86 and £114. These are ACCA's struck-through regular prices. India pays £30, £84 and £111.
  • "Late fees up to £150." Late entry costs £387 for Applied Skills and £430 for Strategic Professional.
  • Exchange rates of ₹94 to ₹116 a pound. The RBI reference rate was ₹127.15 on 2 November 2026; an older rate understates every fee by up to a quarter.
  • Paper names like F1 to F9 and P1 to P7, or "15 subjects". ACCA has 13 exams today, named BT, MA, FA, LW, PM, TX, FR, AA, FM, SBL, SBR and two options.
  • "Ten years to finish." ACCA's stated time limit is seven years to complete Strategic Professional after you pass your first Strategic Professional exam.

ICAI charges ₹9,000, ₹18,000 and ₹22,000 to register for CA Foundation, Intermediate and Final, ₹49,000 in all plus exam fees, while ACCA's own fees come to about ₹3.5 lakh for a student sitting all its exams. Only ICAI members can sign statutory audits in India; ACCA suits IFRS and international roles.

Is ACCA difficult to pass?

The later papers are hard. ACCA's September 2026 pass rates for the Applied Skills and Strategic Professional exams ranged from 41% (APM) to 54% (TX), with SBL at 53% and SBR at 50%. A failed paper costs its full exam fee again, £151 to £268.

What is the salary after ACCA in India?

PayScale's self-reported data puts the average base salary of ACCA holders in India at ₹7.01 lakh a year, from 173 profiles updated 18 May 2026. Employer averages on that page range from ₹6.2 lakh at KPMG to ₹12 lakh at J.P. Morgan.

How long does ACCA take, and does a longer course cost more?

The WallStreet School gives 2 to 3 years for all 13 papers, and IMS Proschool 1 to 1.5 years for graduates and 2 to 3 years for undergraduates. Each extra year adds the £140 (₹17,801) subscription, so a slower pace costs more.

Can I pay ACCA fees in EMI?

ACCA's own fees are paid in pounds, per exam and per year, so they are spread out by design. Coaching can be paid in instalments at some institutes: QuintEdge lists EMI and PSP Educate India lists no-cost EMI from ₹10,000.

Will ACCA fees change in 2027?

Probably. ACCA is moving to a redesigned qualification: June 2027 is the last sitting of the current Applied Skills and Strategic Professional exams, and new exams start from July and September 2027. ACCA had not published fees for them on 3 November 2026, and says its new Essential Employability Modules will be priced in January 2027.
