Masai School vs AccioJob: Which One Fits You in 2026?

Quick verdict

Pick AccioJob if you can clear a coding test and an interview to win one of its limited Pay After Placement seats, want a 6 month Java or MERN full stack course, or want classroom learning in Noida, Pune, Hyderabad or Chennai. If your first job pays ₹3.5 LPA or more, AccioJob costs ₹50,000 to ₹1.5 lakh less than Masai.

Pick Masai School if you are starting from zero and want Pay After Placement as the default, not a seat you compete for. Masai also puts more of its safety net on a public page: nothing to pay if you get no offer within a year, and payments that pause if you lose your job.

The short version: both charge ₹0 upfront and bill you only after a job. AccioJob is cheaper at every salary from ₹3.5 LPA up and finishes faster, but its PAP seats are selective and its public terms are thinner. Masai School costs more after placement, gives PAP to everyone who passes its entrance test, and spreads payments over 30 to 36 months instead of 24.

What you actually pay at your expected salary

Both schools charge by salary slab, but the slabs do not line up. Masai's threshold is ₹3.5 LPA and AccioJob's is ₹3 LPA. Masai collects over 30 to 36 months, while AccioJob collects in up to 24. So the cheaper school depends on the salary you land.

The Masai figures come from Masai's official Pay After Placement fee page. The AccioJob figures come from AccioJob's Pay After Placement page, which lists the total payable at each salary band. AccioJob's monthly amounts below assume the full 24 month tenure.

Your CTC after the course Masai School (PAP) AccioJob (PAP) Cheaper option
No job, or below ₹3 LPA ₹0 ₹0 Same
₹3 to ₹3.49 LPA ₹0 ₹1,80,000 (₹7,500 x 24 months) Masai, by ₹1,80,000
₹3.5 to ₹4.99 LPA ₹2,50,000 (₹6,944 x 36 months) ₹1,80,000 (₹7,500 x 24 months) AccioJob, by ₹70,000
₹5 to ₹9.99 LPA ₹3,50,000 (₹9,722 x 36 months) ₹2,40,000 (₹10,000 x 24 months) AccioJob, by ₹1,10,000
₹10 to ₹19.99 LPA ₹4,50,000 (₹15,000 x 30 months) ₹3,00,000 (₹12,500 x 24 months) AccioJob, by ₹1,50,000
₹20 LPA and above ₹4,50,000 (₹15,000 x 30 months) ₹4,00,000 (₹16,667 x 24 months) AccioJob, by ₹50,000

Key takeaway: AccioJob reports a ₹7.4 LPA average salary and Masai reports ₹6.1 to ₹6.9 LPA. Either average lands in the ₹5 to ₹9.99 LPA band, where AccioJob costs ₹2.4 lakh and Masai costs ₹3.5 lakh. That is a ₹1.1 lakh gap in AccioJob's favour.

So on total cost, AccioJob wins almost everywhere. Masai is cheaper in one narrow band: an offer between ₹3 and ₹3.49 LPA costs nothing at Masai and ₹1.8 lakh at AccioJob. If your realistic first offer sits close to ₹3 LPA, that band matters.

The trade-off is speed. AccioJob compresses its fee into up to 24 months, so at lower salaries the monthly payment is bigger even though the total is smaller. At a ₹4 LPA first job (about ₹33,333 gross a month), AccioJob's ₹7,500 is about 22.5% of gross pay, against 20.8% for Masai's ₹6,944. At ₹7 LPA the two are almost level, at ₹10,000 and ₹9,722 a month. If your agreement sets a tenure shorter than 24 months, the AccioJob monthly figure goes up.

One more check before you sign: AccioJob's published bands share their edges (₹3 to 5, ₹5 to 10 and ₹10 to 20 LPA). Ask which slab an offer of exactly ₹5, ₹10 or ₹20 LPA falls in, and get the answer written into your agreement. Placements: why AccioJob's higher average needs context

On paper AccioJob leads: a ₹7.4 LPA average and a ₹41 LPA highest package, against Masai's ₹6.1 to ₹6.9 LPA average and ₹36 LPA highest. Three things make the comparison less clean than it looks.

The PAP pools are filtered differently. AccioJob gives PAP seats to top performers after assignments, a coding test and an interview, so its PAP learners are screened on coding before the course starts. Masai's entrance test is built for people with no prior coding experience. A pre-screened group will usually post a higher average.

AccioJob gives a count, not a rate. "2,000+ students placed" tells you how many got jobs, not out of how many. Masai publishes a 94% rate, but placement starts only after you clear its Final Evaluation Test, so the rate covers students who became eligible. Masai's own pages also quote two different averages, a gap flagged in Fueler's 2026 Masai School review.

Student reviews are mixed on the hard part. On AccioJob's Trustpilot page, several students praise the instructors and mentor support, while one critical reviewer says the placement-readiness mock interviews were tough enough that many learners dropped out before reaching company drives. Masai's reviews on Course Report are largely positive, with graduates describing an intense full-time schedule and a large volume of coding. Treat single reviews as anecdotes, but ask each school how many learners in a recent batch cleared placement eligibility.

A fair reading: AccioJob's numbers describe a pre-screened group. Masai's describe a wider beginner pool. Ask both schools for the median CTC and placement rate of their last three batches, split by fresher and non-CS background.

The fine print: Masai's PAP agreement vs AccioJob's ISA

Both schools charge a fixed total for each salary slab, so the amount does not grow with interest. What differs is how much each school puts on a public page before you sign.

What Masai publishes. Masai's fee page states that the PAP agreement is a legal contract, not a loan, with no interest and no collateral. It lists the ₹3.5 LPA threshold, the slabs, the 1 year no-offer waiver, a pause if you stop working or your income drops below the agreed CTC, and drop-out clauses that also apply if you breach the student code of conduct. CTC is defined broadly, including variable pay, compensations and ESOPs. One clause sits in the agreement rather than the fee page: per Fueler's review, if you opt into a job process and receive a qualifying offer, you are required to accept it. The fee page also shows separate tabs for its Masai One and Masai Launchpad programs, so confirm which table applies to your course.

What AccioJob publishes. AccioJob's PAP page says the tuition is covered by AccioJob, that selected students sign the Income Sharing Agreement after clearing selection and before the course starts, and that you pay after getting a job through AccioJob's placement services. It lists the slabs and the up to 24 month tenure. It also says placement services must start immediately after course completion, so you cannot finish, take a break, and use the placement team later.

What AccioJob's public page does not say. There is no stated time limit after which you owe nothing, no pause clause, no drop-out fee table and no definition of CTC. These may well be in the ISA. Ask for all four in writing before you sign, along with whether a job you find on your own triggers the fee.

If you do not get an AccioJob PAP seat

AccioJob describes PAP as limited seats for top performers in its selection process. If you do not get one, its page offers an "upfront" plan that is really a hybrid: ₹6,250 a month for up to 12 months, ₹75,000 in total during the course, plus a remaining fee after placement. The current page does not list that remaining amount, so ask for it by salary band before you commit. AccioJob also advertises scholarships of up to ₹15,000.

At Masai, passing the entrance test unlocks PAP for its Software Development and Digital Marketing programs. Masai also runs certificate programs with IIT and IIM partners, which are separate from its PAP courses, so check the fee model of those individually.

Who should choose which

Choose AccioJob if you

  • can clear assignments, a coding test and an interview to win a PAP seat
  • expect a first salary of ₹3.5 LPA or more, where AccioJob costs ₹50,000 to ₹1.5 lakh less than Masai
  • want Java with Spring Boot, or the MERN stack, in about 6 months
  • live near Noida, Pune, Hyderabad or Chennai and learn better in a classroom

Choose Masai School if you

  • are starting from zero and do not want to compete for a limited PAP seat
  • want the no-offer waiver, the pause clause and the drop-out terms on a public page before you apply
  • prefer a smaller monthly payment spread over 30 to 36 months
  • think your first offer may land between ₹3 and ₹3.49 LPA, where Masai charges nothing and AccioJob charges ₹1.8 lakh

When neither is the right call

If you can fund the fee yourself, or you already work in tech and expect ₹10 LPA or more, a deferred fee is usually the expensive route. Our Scaler Academy vs Masai School comparison shows where an upfront program becomes cheaper than PAP.
