The short answer
There is no single best AI course in India, because "AI course" currently describes four different products sold to four different people. Before comparing prices, work out which one you are buying:
- Generative and agentic AI — short, intermediate-level, assumes you can already code. ₹20,000 to ₹1,40,000.
- AI engineering — building and shipping AI-backed software. ₹18,000 to ₹3,99,000.
- AI and machine learning fundamentals, often with an IIT co-brand. ₹54,000 to ₹3,99,000.
- Analytics with AI bolted on — a data analyst course using AI tooling. ₹57,000 to ₹1,34,999.
If you want one number to anchor on: the median AI programme costs ₹82,500, or ₹15,000 per month of teaching. The gap between cheapest and dearest per month is 7.2x, which is wider than the data science market and the clearest sign that this category is not yet priced rationally.
What we found across 43 programmes
- Median fee ₹82,500, from ₹18,000 to ₹3,99,000.
- Per month of teaching: median ₹15,000, from ₹6,000 to ₹43,300.
- 38 of 43 publish a fee, but only 24 publish both a fee and a start date.
- 35 of 43 are online-only. Just seven are taught in a classroom, almost all in Gurugram.
- 19 of 43 are pitched at intermediate level — far higher than the data science market, where 22 of 25 are beginner-friendly. Many AI courses quietly assume you can already program.
- All 43 claim placement assistance. A feature present on 100% of listings is vocabulary, not a differentiator.
The 7.2x problem
Here are the extremes, normalised to cost per month of teaching so that a ten-week certificate and a twelve-month programme can be compared honestly.
| Programme | Institute | Fee | Length | Per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AI-Powered Full Stack Developer (MERN) | Simplilearn | ₹53,999 | 9 months | ₹6,000 |
| AI and ML Certification with IIT Patna | Masai School | ₹54,000 | 8 months | ₹6,750 |
| Business Analytics with Gen and Agentic AI | Masai School | ₹52,000 | 6 months | ₹8,667 |
| AI Engineering with Full Stack | AccioJob | ₹75,000 | 8 months | ₹9,375 |
| — market median ₹15,000 per month — | ||||
| Applied Generative AI (Executive) | Simplilearn | ₹1,40,000 | 5 months | ₹28,000 |
| AI and Machine Learning Program | Scaler | ₹3,99,000 | 12–15 months | ₹33,250 |
| Applied Agentic and GenAI Systems | Newton School | ₹1,30,000 | 16 weeks | ₹35,181 |
| Applied Agentic AI: Systems, Design and Impact | Simplilearn | ₹99,999 | 10 weeks | ₹43,300 |
Two things stand out. First, the cheapest programme per month is a full-stack developer course with AI in the title — cheap per month because it runs nine months and is mostly web development. That is not a criticism, but it is not an AI specialisation either, and the name does not make that obvious.
Second, the four dearest per month are all short, intensive, agentic-AI-branded programmes. Short courses are always dearer per month; that is normal. What is not normal is a 7.2x spread for programmes that broadly promise the same thing. We found the same pattern market-wide in our study of what coding bootcamps in India actually cost.
1. Generative and agentic AI courses
This is the category that did not exist three years ago and now carries the highest prices per month in Indian tech education. Almost all of it is pitched at intermediate level.
| Programme | Institute | Fee | Length | Per month | Level |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business Analytics with Gen and Agentic AI | Masai School | ₹52,000 | 6 months | ₹8,667 | Beginner |
| Agentic AI Systems and Design | Intellipaat | ₹60,021 | 5 months | ₹12,004 | Intermediate |
| Generative AI Course | AnalytixLabs | ₹20,000 | 1.5 months | ₹13,333 | Intermediate |
| Data Science and Agentic AI | upGrad | ₹99,000 | 26 weeks | ₹16,487 | Beginner |
| GenAI and Multi-Agent Systems with IBM | Coding Ninjas | ₹1,00,000 | 6 months | ₹16,667 | Intermediate |
| Applied AI and Agentic AI (Executive PG) | upGrad | ₹1,40,000 | 7 months | ₹20,000 | Intermediate |
| Applied Generative AI (Executive) | Simplilearn | ₹1,40,000 | 5 months | ₹28,000 | Intermediate |
| Applied Agentic and GenAI Systems | Newton School | ₹1,30,000 | 16 weeks | ₹35,181 | Intermediate |
| Applied Agentic AI: Systems, Design and Impact | Simplilearn | ₹99,999 | 10 weeks | ₹43,300 | Intermediate |
| Generative AI Course | Intellipaat | not published | 96 hours over 4 months | — | Intermediate |
Best value here: Masai's Business Analytics with Gen and Agentic AI at ₹8,667 per month, and the only one in the group rated beginner-friendly. Most expensive: Simplilearn's ten-week Applied Agentic AI at ₹43,300 per month — five times Masai's rate.
A word of caution on this whole category. Agentic AI tooling is moving faster than curricula can be rewritten, and a ₹1,30,000 course teaching a framework that changes within the year is a real risk. Ask when the syllabus was last revised and what specifically changed. The tooling that teams actually report using is tracked reasonably neutrally in the Stack Overflow Developer Survey.
2. AI engineering courses
Building and shipping AI-backed software, rather than studying the models. This is where the widest price range sits.
| Programme | Institute | Fee | Length | Per month | Format |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| AI Engineering and Data Science Bootcamp | Codebasics | ₹18,000 | Self-paced | — | Online |
| AI-Powered Full Stack Developer (MERN) | Simplilearn | ₹53,999 | 9 months | ₹6,000 | Online |
| AI Engineering with Full Stack | AccioJob | ₹75,000 | 8 months | ₹9,375 | Online |
| AI Engineering with Full Stack | AccioJob | ₹85,000 | 6 months | ₹14,167 | Offline |
| Full Stack AI Course | AnalytixLabs | ₹77,000 | 5 months | ₹15,400 | Online |
| Forward Deployed Engineering with MultiModal AI | Coding Ninjas | ₹1,20,000 | 8 months | ₹15,000 | Online |
| Full Stack AI Course | AnalytixLabs | ₹86,440 | 5 months | ₹17,288 | Offline |
| AI Engineering Bootcamp (Live) | Codebasics | ₹54,000 | 11 weekends | ₹21,256 | Online |
| AI-Native Software Engineering (Executive PG) | upGrad | ₹1,77,000 | 8 months | ₹22,125 | Online |
| Software and AI Engineering Program | Scaler | ₹3,99,000 | 12 months | ₹33,250 | Online |
Codebasics at ₹18,000 self-paced is the cheapest entry into AI engineering anywhere on our listings, and the sensible first purchase if you are not yet sure this is the work you want. AccioJob at ₹9,375 per month is the best value among live, cohort-based options, and the only one in this group with an in-person alternative.
At the other end, Scaler and Coding Ninjas both run "forward deployed engineer" style programmes — Scaler at ₹3,99,000 and Coding Ninjas at ₹1,20,000 for something broadly comparable in length. We reviewed Scaler's in detail in our Forward Deployed Engineer course review, and the full fee structure is in the Scaler Academy fees breakdown.
3. AI and machine learning with an institutional co-brand
Seven of the 43 programmes attach an IIT, IBM or Microsoft name. Here is what each co-brand actually is.
| Programme | Institute | Fee | Per month | Partner |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AI and ML Certification with IIT Patna | Masai School | ₹54,000 | ₹6,750 | IIT Patna |
| AI and ML Certification, E&ICT Academy | Masai School | ₹57,000 | ₹9,500 | IIT Roorkee E&ICT |
| Artificial Intelligence Course with Microsoft | Intellipaat | ₹79,002 | ₹11,286 | Microsoft |
| Fellowship in Data Science and AI | AlmaBetter | ₹1,00,000 | ₹12,500 | IIT Patna |
| GenAI and Multi-Agent Systems with IBM | Coding Ninjas | ₹1,00,000 | ₹16,667 | IBM |
| Data Science and AI (IITM Pravartak) | Intellipaat | not published | — | IITM Pravartak |
| Data Analytics with Gen AI (IBM) | Imarticus Learning | not published | — | IBM |
A co-brand is not admission to an IIT, and not an IIT degree. In practice it means one of three things: an E&ICT Academy (a government-funded skilling body hosted at an IIT — IIT Roorkee's is a real and checkable example); a Technology Innovation Hub such as IITM Pravartak at IIT Madras; or a vendor certification track from IBM or Microsoft.
All three are real, and the first two are easy to verify on the host institute's own site — IIT Patna for the two fellowships above, for instance. None of them is a qualification recognised by the University Grants Commission or approved by AICTE. If your plan depends on the credential being recognised for further study or by an overseas employer, confirm that before paying.
Masai's IIT Patna certification at ₹6,750 per month is the cheapest co-branded AI programme in India on our listings, by a wide margin.
4. Analytics with AI, and the cheapest ways in
If you want AI skills attached to an analyst role rather than an engineering one, the options are tighter and cheaper: Masai's Data Analytics with AI and Gen AI at ₹57,000 (₹9,500 per month), AccioJob's Data Analytics with GenAI at ₹65,000 online or ₹70,000 in person, and AnalytixLabs' Data Analytics with AI at ₹68,440 in a Gurugram classroom.
And if you simply want to find out whether you like this work before committing five or six figures, three programmes cost under ₹55,000:
- Codebasics AI Engineering and Data Science Bootcamp — ₹18,000, self-paced.
- AnalytixLabs Generative AI Course — ₹20,000, six weeks, intermediate.
- Masai Business Analytics with Gen and Agentic AI — ₹52,000, six months, beginner.
Spending ₹18,000 to discover you dislike the work is a far better outcome than discovering it four months into a ₹3,99,000 commitment.
How to choose, in order
- Name the job, not the technology. "AI engineer", "data analyst using AI" and "ML engineer" are different hires. Courses blur them deliberately because the blur widens the market.
- Check the level honestly. Nineteen of these 43 are intermediate. If you cannot already write a program, a ₹1,40,000 agentic AI course will be wasted.
- Convert every price to cost per month before comparing. ₹15,000 per month is the market median; above ₹25,000 you should be able to say exactly what you are getting for it.
- Ask when the syllabus last changed. This category ages faster than any other in tech education.
- Get the fee and the start date in writing first. Nineteen of 43 will not give you both on the page.
- Compare the whole market. Every programme above is filterable by fee, format, city and level in the full course listing, and each provider is profiled in the institute directory.
If your target is a data science role rather than an AI engineering one, we ranked that market separately in the top 10 data science training institutes in India. Methodology
Figures were read from the 87 live course listings on BootcampGuide on 18 October 2026, each compiled from the institute's own public course page. We selected the 43 programmes whose titles identify them as artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI or agentic AI, excluding courses whose primary subject is digital marketing, product management, cybersecurity or business strategy even where an AI module is included.
Where the same programme is listed in more than one format or city, each format is counted once — which is why AccioJob and AnalytixLabs appear twice in some tables, at different prices for online and classroom delivery. Cost per month is the published fee divided by the stated duration, taking the shorter end of any range; self-paced courses are excluded from that calculation. Fees are as published and exclude GST unless the institute states otherwise. Level, EMI, format and batch-date fields reflect what the institute publishes, not what we have independently verified.
No institute pays to be listed, ranked or described here. Where our listing and an institute's own page disagree, the institute's page is correct and we would be glad to be told — see about BootcampGuide.
